Wonderful Weekend....

We had a wonderful weekend of Family Fun, Sun & Good Cooking..... The weather was beautiful. Even though I was fussing about the SW wind..... It probably would have been a little warm without it. Nana went with us out in the boat on Saturday. You know Nana she had to bring along the clam rakes. We actually hit a spot that allowed even I to enjoy a little clamming. We got some clams and Nana cooked a clambake Sunday for lunch. Saturday night she fried fish with all the trimmings. So, needless to say we had some good cooking this weekend. Now that I think about it, Nana always cooks good.

The only thing to make it better would have been to have a couple brothers, their wives and 6 beautiful girls on the beach with us. Also, some of Nessa's clams casino would have topped it off. We are looking forward to more weekends spent on the beach. This would have been a great week to be on vacation. But, we have to work. So, we will look forward to the weekend. Hope you all have a wonderful week......

Happy Birthday Papa.....

Happy Birthday Daddy.....My wish for you is that on your special day you will not be in any pain and that you will not have to complain about one thing. Maybe this year will bring you relief from all of your aches and pains. Just be thankful that you don't have any kids that are a pain in your side. Ha! Save us a piece of cake and we will see you tonight...

Spring Feaver

Needless to say I have Spring feaver. Just having a few days off last week was enough for it to set in really bad.....We spent a few days at the beach. The weather was sunny. The wind was a little brisk, so that made it feel a little cool. We have our fingers crossed for this weekend though. The temps are supposed to be in the 80's on Saturday & Sunday. So, we are hoping to get to go out in the boat. Nana & Papa took their neighbor out this past weekend. I told them that if you had to wear a jacket to the beach, I had just as soon not go....
It has been rough getting back in the routine of bedtime and homework. The boys and I are counting down until school is out. We do rush our lives away don't we? But, we all enjoy those lazy days of summer.
Travis has been busy getting a rental ready to rent out again. I think he has finally finished with it. So, he now has to start on my honey do's.... I have a feeling he will find something else to occupy his time.
Love ya all,

Christy

Happy Easter....He Is Risen.....

We are enjoying a beautiful Easter Sunday. It was a little chilly when we left for church. But, it has warmed up nicely this afternoon. Wasn't in the mood for ham. So, we grilled barbecue chicken for lunch. Getting good pictures of us is a chore. The boys actually didn't fuss as much as they usually do. They actually were just being silly.
I was going to take Monday - Wednesday off this week. But, it looks like the end of the week is going to be nicer. So, I am going to take Wednesday - Friday off instead. We will go to the beach a few days and then finish up the week here.
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter and a great week ahead.
Love ya,

Puppy Sitting.....

Introducing Angel......

The boys couldn't believe I held a dog.....

Isn't she a cutie.....

Andrew is in love with her....

Andrew & Trent copying the way Angel is sleeping.

We have been babysitting Mrs. Pat's new puppy for her today. She lost both of her dogs in the last month. Another one of our neighbors was at her vet and there was a bunch of puppies that had been dropped off. She brought one home for Mrs. Pat. She is a sweetie. Her name is Angel. I think Mrs. Pat is a little nervous that she will not be able to take care of her since she can't see. But, I think she will be a great Mama to this little one. She needs another dog. Gives her something to live for.

She is a cutie. But, I'm glad I can give her back. I told the boys they can go across the street and visit her anytime......

Beautiful Weekend.....

We sure have enjoyed this weekend. Just wished they were a little longer. The weather was very nice. We cleaned the yard at the beach house and went and had supper with Nana Saturday night. We had stewed hard crabs.... The boys are beginning to love them as much as I do. Travis passes on the crabs. But, fills his tummy with the potatoes and gravy...

The weather was beautiful this weekend. The pollen is a little bit in excess. The back screened in porch looked like it had a layer of green. I just left it. I knew I would be wasting my time cleaning it. So, maybe next time we go all the pollen will have fallen and I can clean it then. I did miss having my morning coffee out there though..... The sound of the Seagulls makes me want to rush the summer here. We did bring the boat home to get it ready to take out soon.....

Hope this week goes by quick. The boys and I are looking forward to Spring break. Those of you who have Spring break this week, Enjoy.....

Love You All,
Christy

Not Much Happening....

Well the weekend is already over. They go by to fast..... We ended up with some sunshine Saturday morning. So, after I took Austin to meet a church group to go and play paintball I came home and worked in my flower beds until about 2 pm. I am anxious to see some flowers coming up. That will be a sure sign that Spring is here. I keep telling myself that I am not going to plant a lot of things this year. The past 2 years I have had to do a lot of watering and worrying about my flowers when I am out of town. So, this year I am not going to plant as much and what I do plant is going to be drought tolerant.....

Nana & Papa came and stayed with us last night. He has a doctor's appointment in Chapel Hill today for his hand. I wish they could get that hand cleared up. I'm not sure what else they can do. I think it is going to be a longgggggg process. Pray for Nana....... Papa had gotten some oysters for Mrs. Paulette. Needless to say Austin and Andrew talked him into giving them a pan of them. I was able to get 1 oyster from the bunch. I think it was the saltiest oyster I had ever eaten. They wanted seconds, but they decided to let Papa take the rest to Mrs. Paultette.

I have to admit that Ellie Mae is a cutie. I wonder if she knows what a lucky little puppy she is to have a home with the Rosebuds? She won't fair bad.....

Well it is Monday again. The boys have a teacher's workday today. So, I left all of my boys in bed. Maybe they won't drive Travis crazy. I am looking forward to Easter vacation. I have taken a few days off that week. I would love it if the weather would be warm enough for us to go out in the boat. We will have to see.

Hope all have a wonderful week.

Love Ya,
Christy
