Transitioning from Thanksgiving to Christmas.....

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving. Just wanted to take a minute and let everyone know how thankful I am for each and every one of you. I know that family and friends are at the top of the things that I am thankful for. As the Christmas season approaches may we not forget how thankful we should be for Jesus Christ and the wonderful gift that he came to give us. May each and everyone of us accept his greatest blessing of all, Salvation, so that we may be a family together forever.

Skateboard Spills
Andrew wanted a skateboard for Christmas until.....
He was riding a friends and took a spill.
Scraped knee & face..... But luckily no broken bones.
We know how my boys are about broken bones. Travis
said he did have a flashback when Andrew came in after
his accident. He was holding his arm and Travis thought
here we go again.....
Needless to say Andrew did not want to go to school this morning. Everybody was going to ask what happened. I told him he might as well go today because his wounds would be with him for a while.

Extreme Eatover
Once a month a family hosts the teens for food and fun after church. We were the host family for this month. We had a cold north wind all day Sunday. But, by Sunday night the wind had calmed leaving a cool, crisp night. We were glad to be able to set up outside. We had about 20 people all together. We had chili, cornbread muffins, Zaxby's chicken fingers and other items to fill all their tummies. Those of us with thin blood gathered around the kerosene heater.....

Mrs. Jennifer (burgundy coat) is from Indiana. She said, "She has been down South so long that her blood has thinned and she definately doesn't like the cold weather." I thought she was going to sit on the kerosene heater before the night was over.
