What a difference a week makes....

Ughhh. This weekend sure isn't going to turn out like last weekend. We are in for "several" days of rainy & cold weather. So, the only plans I have for the weekend is to make vegetable soup. I think it is going to be a perfect weekend for it. It sure has been hard getting up this week. I still have not adjusted to the time change. I have a feeling that tomorrow morning is going to be a good morning to sleep in. I usually don't like to do that. Because, I feel like I have wasted my Saturday. But, I am going to endulge tomorrow....

I hope the Rosebuds enjoy their weekend and have lots of fun breaking Daddy into the routine again....I bet he wouldn't rather be doing anything else.

Myrtle Beach

Enjoying Myrtle Beach. Shopping, eating and spending time with my honey. We have even experienced a first... I will have to tell you about that in private. It has been a nice weekend so far. Just wished the weather was a little warmer. The winds have been pretty strong here. So, that is keeping the temperature down. I want to get my bones thawed out.... My honey is so good about letting me shop, shop, shop. He has taken me to all the Ross's we can find. Our GPS has taken us around the Devil's elbow sometimes though. lol....Why is it when you are looking to spend some money you can't find anything you really want to spend it on? I have found a few things though.... Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend and don't forget to "Spring Forward".......

Beautiful Weekend Ahead......

Today is my Friday..... Off tomorrow and Travis and I are going to Myrtle Beach for the weekend. We are taking Andrew to Nana tonight, Austin is staying with a friend and then we are leaving for Myrtle Beach in the morning. The weather looks like it is going to be gorgeous!!! I have had enough of this cold weather. I don't envy the Rosebuds and their Michigan weather at all......

Friday Again.....

I can't wait until the weather is warm enough for us to take a dip in the ocean......

It's hard to believe that tomorrow is Friday again. We are having some warm weather before the cold, rainy weather comes back in. It looks like Saturday is going to be a washout. Travis and Andrew are going to Morehead this weekend. Austin is still undecided. I have a ladies conference at church on Saturday. So, I will be staying in town. Maybe they will all go and I will have the house to myself.... That doesn't happen very often anymore. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Lazy Weekend.....

It's a lazy weekend for us. Travis had someone to meet this morning to look at one of the rentals. The boys and I stayed home. I cut back Mrs. Pat's monkey grass and rose bushes. Austin and I ran to the mall. We met Travis and Andrew at McAlister's for supper. It really cooled off after the sun went down. So, we are now getting cozy by the logs. Travis and Austin will be going to the Duke vs Wake Forest game tomorrow night. We got Austin tickets for his birthday. I hope it is a good game and that they enjoy it.
I'm sure that tomorrow will be another lazy day. I am already looking forward to my Sunday afternoon nap......

Monday Again.......

Isn't today supposed to be a holiday? Why am I not off? I guess it isn't an important enough one. I shouldn't complain since I had Friday off. It was our last day of warm weather. So, I took advantage of it and got my flower beds cleaned up. While I was working in them I told myself I am not planting a bunch of flowers this year. I hate to water and with how dry our past 2 summers have been I do not want to have to do it this year. So, remind me when the flowers start coming out not to buy any......

The weekend was nice. Travis had a cold. He pretty much was planted in his recliner all weekend. The boys kept busy with friends. Saturday I cooked dinner for my neighbors across the street. Since Travis wasn't feeling well and the boys didn't like what I cooked (shrimp & pasta) I just took it over to their house and had dinner with them. They were really appreciative and enjoyed my company. Who wouldn't? Ha!

This is the first Valentine's Day that my sweetheart didn't get me a beautiful card. He really has a knack for picking out the perfect card. He said, "This year the Piggly Wiggly just didn't have much to choose from". That was his last stop before he began feeling really lowsy...... We had already gone out to dinner on Tuesday night and he had bought my Valentine's gift earlier in the month. So, I let him off the hook with the card. It sort of reminded me of the times Daddy said that "Billy's" didn't have any Valentine's cards...... I'm sure Mama has let him off the hook many times.
